Bradmill Factory Yarraville Melbourne – Adaptive Reuse

Frasers Property Group commissioned a project to explore adaptive reuse opportunities for the historic buildings at the Bradmill site in Yarraville, which previously produced fabric for clothing brands such as King Gee, and Diesel Jeans. The project’s scope included an immersive phase to thoroughly understand the local retail hierarchy, community services, the personality of the local community, and to identify potential gaps in the local market for various commercial uses. This comprehensive analysis informed the creation of a new vision and strategic plan, complete with high-level commercial insights to guide the proposed strategies. The team provided extensive research, vision articulation, opportunity identification, design recommendations, and high-level feasibility assessments for repurposing the heritage buildings as part of a residential development. This approach aimed to blend the site’s rich industrial heritage with modern living, ensuring a seamless integration into the community fabric of Yarraville.
